How to Prepare for a New Pool Installation

May 21, 2021

Owning a swimming pool is a dream come true. As you get ready to have your own dream pool installed, there are probably several things you are wondering. At Narellan Pools, we know the steps of the process of a pool installation very well. For almost 50 years, our company has been providing backyard beauty with our gorgeous, innovative fiberglass pools. Let us help you know how to prepare for a new pool installation.

Our clients are the number one priority at Narellan Pools. To help you know what to expect for each stage of a pool installation, we have created this swimming pool construction process list for your convenience. There are 5 steps to focus on as you prepare.

Ideas Instituted into Inscription

The planning process is important for getting all of your ideas out of your head and onto paper. This is where you get very familiar with our pools range. Your pool builder will work closely with you as you finalize the shape, color, and layout of your pool. They will help you cover things that might have not entered your thoughts yet, such as adding a fence, landscaping, and other aesthetically pleasing items.

Another thing covered during this step of preparation is the legal paperwork. Again, your pool builder will be very helpful with this tedious task. They will communicate regularly to keep you updated on progress. They will also help you know what papers you need to fill out and whom you might need to contact about the build, such as your home alarm company or homeowner’s association.

Excitement in the Excavation

Once the blueprints are completed and the necessary paperwork is approved, you will begin to see the exciting excavation begin in your yard. To prepare for this, there are a few things you can do in advance.

Make sure that your pets, plants, and landscaping features will be secure and safe during the digging. Large machinery will be in and out of your yard for a while. If you have an existing fence, part of it might have to be moved.

Climax in the Construction

When the dirty digging is done, prepare to see your long-awaited, high-quality pool shell arrive in the backyard! The climax of your excited emotions could be at this point — knowing that your first swim is not that far away.

The building crew will install the plumbing and pool at this point. They will also do another quality check, which they perform every step of the way. This gives you peace of mind that your pool is ready for occupancy.

Security in the Safety Beam

The final installation item is the safety beam. This locks your pool into place — another added safety measure. Watching this process unfold is indescribable. This may be the only thing you cannot properly prepare for with a new pool installation.

Happiness in the Handover

Step 5 is the easiest to do: accept the handover of your masterpiece from your skilled builders. You will be so happy that you chose to become a pool owner. The thrill will never vanish as you and your family create lifelong memories in your backyard masterpiece.
